Dining & Groceries
Looking for snacks, a fine or fast meal, or fresh ingredients for dinner at home?
Downtown Norway has it all.
Local produce, dairy and meat products, and delicious baked goods are in season every Thursday in the summer at the Farmers’ Market, located in the parking lot behind the Fare Share Co-op, and every weekend in the fall at the Saturday Market at the Grange on Whitman Street. The Co-op is the place for natural and organic foods, delicious soups, and a sunny spot to sit and relax. Boomer’s offers the chance to enjoy a meal and cocktails on a large deck overlooking picturesque Lake Penneseewassee. Michael’s Dining and Lounge offers a complete menu at their convenient location on Route 26. The Trolley serves lunch and dinner inside and outside, featuring hamburgers, fish, and ice cream, and a full-service pub is also on hand.
Moving fast? Try Ari’s for a delicious pizza, Amato’s for world-famous subs, or The Great Wall for freshly prepared Chinese food. The Lake Store (an institution to some) and Mallard Mart have “grab and go” deli items. For breakfast and lunch, there are two cafes to choose from: Café Nomad emphasizes local ingredients and a bit of gourmet flare, and the Taste of Eden Vegan Café serves tasty, healthy food. Tim Hortons also offers a breakfast and lunch menu, and is open around the clock for coffee, donuts, and baked goods. After a day on the lake, stop by Woitko’s to enjoy fried clams, chowder, or ice cream and outside seating. Whether you’re a golfer or not, you can enjoy lunch amidst the majestic scenery of the Norway Country Club.
